Method

  1. 1Heat the oil with the sausages in an ovenproof dish at 220°C for 10 minutes.
  2. 2Whisk the flour, eggs, milk and a pinch of salt into a smooth batter.
  3. 3Pour the batter over the sizzling sausages.
  4. 4Bake for 25–30 minutes without opening the door until puffed and golden.
  5. 5Serve with peas and gravy.
